Second Version of the Change the Web Logo - Floor's open for comments!

(logo courtesy of Nadia Gomez)

Hi everyone,

Thanks to all those who submitted their feedback on Nadia's first version of the logo.

Above, you'll see a revised version - having incorporated many of the comments made.

Again, kudos to Nadia who worked very quickly to incorporate the feedback. Visualizing the Change the Web concept is easier said than done; and we're lucky to have found a volunteer who's flexible and receptive to receiving criticism (it's never easy to be on the judgment table - no matter how constructive the criticism is!) of her work.

Let us know your thoughts on this version. As the contest nears its launch date, we'd like to have the logo finalized by the end of this week at the latest - so if you have an opinion, now is the time to share it!

Great! :) I'll get in touch with Nadia right away. (I, too, agree that the text should be aligned - but that's a very quick fix!)

Hi all, Let's roll with the new version. The green and blue are definitely an improvement on the first version. Romina, can you ask Nadia to send over a PSD or Illustrator version, in case we need to make variations of it? Thank you everyone for your excellent feedback, and thank you Nadia for your patience and graphic design skills. All the best, Peter

the new logo is great, I really like how it invokes both collective action and plugging in :)

I think Nadia's new logo is amazing & good to go. It has that particular Web 2.0 sheen which adds an awesome touch. The new colors also don't imbue it with that US political feel, which some folks found distracting. I agree with @cosmicbdog's comments about the text - but that seems easy enough to nail down. Maybe since the logo is more about the movement behind the challenge - not including the word "challenge" (which seems specific and locked to an event) would help give it more of a timeless aura. Although maybe it's just a matter of playing with the text.

More comments from Twitter that make me smile (too):

LittleLaura: liking the new logo! :)
bestradiobrasil: We liked it a lot! =D
